FLORFEST 2008

Hosted annually by the Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens, FloraFest 2008 will feature the popular native plant sale and an educational lecture for gardening enthusiasts.

Austin-based author and landscape designer Jill Nokes will present the lecture at 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Undergraduate Learning Center, Room 116. A reception will follow at the Centennial Museum.?

The native plant sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, in the patio area between the Centennial Museum and the Undergraduate Learning Center on Wiggins Road.

Plant enthusiasts will be able to choose from hundreds of different desert plants from the El Paso and South Central New Mexico regions.?
