INVITATION TO COMPETE IN LAW DAY CHESS
TOURNAMENT
Students in grades one through eight are invited to participate in
the Annual Law Day Chess Tournament against lawyers and
paralegals representing the El Paso Bar Association. There is no
entry fee.
This year the tournament will be conducted on Saturday, April 26
(before the regular law day events) at St. Clement’s Episcopal
Church, 810 N. Campbell, El Paso, Texas 79902 (Corner of
Montana and Campbell), from 9:00 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m.
Lawyers and paralegals compete against each other for ranking;
children in each grade level will compete against each other.
Thereafter, the first and second place winners in each one of the
children’s categories (appropriate grade level) will compete against
the lawyers and paralegals, with the oldest children playing the
best lawyers and paralegals.
Trophies will be awarded.
Pre-registration will be appreciated, but it is not required. Preregistration
lists should be e-mailed to Augustine Valverde.
