• She Danced to Live
The El Paso Chapter of the UTEP Alumni Association will honor 1969 UTEP graduate Dr. Edith Eger at its annual Fundraising Gala Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Tomás Rivera Conference Center, Union Building East, Third floor.
Eger is a psychologist and author who has turned the life lessons she learned as a Holocaust survivor into inspiration, helping others empower themselves.
Now a much sought-after motivational speaker, Eger has a clinical practice in La Jolla, Calif., and holds a faculty appointment at the University of California, San Diego.

• SunScape
Local gardeners can learn how to use native plants to create a desert-friendly garden during SunScape.
The annual gardening seminar will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, at the Centennial Museum.
Class size is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The class fee is $45. For more information or to register, call 915/747-8994.
• César Chávez Exhibit
The University Library Special Collections Department will host a special exhibit in honor of César Chávez through April 15 in the Library Gallery, 3rd Floor.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The library is open Monday-Thursday from 7 to 1 a.m.; Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 1 a.m. For more information, call 915/747-6725.
