You are cordially invited to The Inaugural Show at FORUM Arts and Culture (formerly "Under The Sun Gallery and Studios") which will open on Friday, April 4th with a reception from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at 705 Texas Ave. El Paso, TX. The reception is open to the public.

The show is curated around "The Idea of Nature", with an essay by Jeff Litchfield, the Creative Director of FORUM.

Suzi Davidoff will exhibit monotype prints that are virtuoso meditations on process, color fields, and plants... all manifest in several, one-of-a-kind, large prints.

Ray Parish will exhibit an organic, undulating sculpture in wood and steel.

David Taylor will show his series of photographs that juxtapose the natural beauty and grandeur of the Carlsbad Caverns, with the man-made caverns being carved just 30 miles away. The contrasts are literally breath-taking in their revelations. (He was recently awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship, an international honor... only three or four, or less, are given in photography in any one year. So, come and see why).

Adrian Esparza will show a unique piece furthering his investigation of fabrics, abstraction, art history, color, and form. His work will also be in the next show at the Rubin Center at UTEP, as well as a huge survey show of Hispanic art since the 60's at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

FORUM Arts and Culture continues the tradition pioneered by "Under The Sun Gallery and Studios" in that it will show and promote the best contemporary art in the southwest, as a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. We will no longer focus on selling art, but rather exhibiting the best art we can get our hands on. That means the best made locally, regionally, and nationally.
