Temporary Downtown Boarding Location
Passenger Amenities and Pedestrian Safety
In an effort to ensure passenger safety and to reduce pedestrian street crossings, On Sunday, April 27, 2008 Sun Metro will relocate the Temporary Downtown Boarding Locations to the area immediately surrounding Cleveland Square. Please note Sun Metro will relocate several boarding locations to Missouri Ave., Franklin Ave. and Oregon St. for an estimated 8 months or until construction on the proposed Union Plaza Transit Terminal is completed.
Sun Metro in coordination with Engineering Services will provide additional pedestrian amenities:
Upgraded Sanitary Facilities
Awnings along sidewalks
Additional Benches
Sun Metro personnel will be on-site to assist passengers with questions, alternate boarding location maps will be posted at Cleveland Square, and flyers will be passed out to the public prior to the relocation.
Alternate Boarding Points:
• Westside Routes: Boarding locations for routes 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11 will relocate to the north side of Franklin between Oregon and Santa Fe. Boarding location for route 18 will relocate to the south side of Franklin between El Paso and Oregon.
• Mission Valley Routes: Boarding Locations for routes 61, 62, 66 will remain on Oregon between Missouri and Franklin; route 65 to the north side of Franklin between Oregon and Santa Fe.
• Express/Central Routes: Boarding locations for routes 3, 34, 36, 42, 59 will relocate to the south side of Missouri between Oregon and Santa Fe; routes 1, 22, 24 to the north side of Franklin between Oregon and Santa Fe.
• Downtown Circulator/Bridge Routes: Boarding locations for routes 4, 8, 10 will relocate to the south side of Missouri between Oregon and Santa Fe.
• Eastside Route: Boarding location for route 55 will relocate to the north side of Franklin between Oregon and Santa Fe.
• Northeast and Montana Routes: Boarding locations for routes 35, 50 will relocate to Oregon between Missouri and Franklin.
• Sunland Park Route: Boarding location for route 83 will relocate to the south side of Franklin between Oregon and El Paso.
