Some observations:
-- State Rep. District 78: In the coming Margo-Moody matchup, the raw numbers favor the Democrat Moody. About 16,000 cast votes in the Democratic primary, about double the number of voters in the Republican primary. Numbers can be parsed, so it's not an absolute, but it is a strong starting position for Moody.
-- Sheriff: Wiles took about double the numbers of Leon, his former boss at the El Paso Police Department, but not enough to avoid a runoff. Who will the other candidates support?
-- Commissioner 3: Lozano doesn't even make the runoff?
-- Commissioner 1: Perez leads Sarinana into a runoff?
-- 448th District Court: Close call, but Hernandez pulls away from Olivo at the end to make the runoff against Arditti.
-- 65th District Court: Chavez leads into the runoff against Gutierrez.
-- The final tally shows about a third of registered voters participating -- 123,656 ballots cast from a registered voter pool of 368,747. And that's got everyone ga-ga over how great participation was?
