A fund-raiser this evening at Dominic's on Montana for 65th District Judge Alfredo Chavez. Why is this interesting? Well, partly because it reminds us that the campaign season is not yet over. [runoff background]
Also, largely, because of the listed guest, U.S. Rep. Silvestre Reyes. (See invitation via link at bottom of this story)
And why care that Reyes is a special guest of honor helping Chavez raise money?

City politics will heat up in earnest, or at least get the pan warm, starting after the May special election for City Council District 3 (some school and water districts in there as well).
