We recently invited our Facebook friends to send in their New Year’s Resolutions for 2009. Here's a sampling, to be updated over the next few days:
In 2009, the sooner the better: to get my family situation resolved, and, when everyone else is on the right track, to move ahead with my own life/plans. I also resolve to improve my health- there's nothing really wrong with it, but could be better. And, to help other people along the way whenever possible

El Paso history should be promoted as a reason to visit El Paso as a destination. Once that is happening, all kinds of good side benefits will result.
So...RESOLVED: promote El Paso history in 2009.

To time travel to 2007 and take all of my money out of my 401K. Even with the penalties I would still have more than I do now.

My New Year's resolution is to focus on the way in which I interact with my family. I find that I treat complete strangers with more respect than I do my own children. My goal is to foster more self esteem in my daughter and expressing my emotions to my children with action. They need to know how much I love them. It seems every day I finish work, cook dinner and plug them into the free babysitter because I am just TOO tired to do anything.
I don't think the new Nintendo DS will be as important to them in the future as quality time spent together.
My real resolution is to cut back on my work hours and spend quality time with my children.
