The paper trail between the city and Hunt Communities includes several letters that highlight the main points of contention. One of them, which erupted Thursday, was the Hunt argument that the city failed to develop subdivision rules needed to comply with the land sale requirements. City Rep. Susie Byrd, who is on the committee working on those rules, responded with a strongly worded letter to Hunt disputing the assertion that the city was to blame.
See the links below for that correspondence, and exchanges between Hunt Communities Vice President Justin Chapman and members of the City Plan Commission.

Looks like Hunt laid out their concerns quite well.
The city council, reporters and the general public are obviously not versed on the ins and outs of these type of contracts.
I'd bet the other bidder won't go forward with the contract either.
Don't blame the guys throwing out all the cash for the problems. When someone is willing to pay you for the land, you need to go all out to make it happen - that didn't happen.

So much wasted on studies that lack details. A very amatuerish operation. Hunt or any builder wants to and should make money on a deal of this scale. Kiddie Council can't play with the big boys
