by Owen White

A few tidbits:

1) State Rep.-Elect Marisa Marquez was moved to send this news release late Thursday:

"State Representative Elect Marisa Marquez (D-El Paso) today denounced statements falsely attributed to her regarding Barak Obama that were posted and circulated on local internet forums and message boards. “I have never participated in local internet forums and message boards, and I would in no way, shape or form ever post derogatory comments about anyone, let alone a presidential candidate,” said Marquez. “I condemn those that use my good name to bolster their out-of-date beliefs.” Marquez went on to say that, although she has not publicly endorsed either presidential Democratic candidate, many of her immediate family members are staunch supporters of Obama."

2) The El Paso County Democratic Party sent this news release:

"The Joseph Moody campaign will be having their first volunteer meeting at 10:00am on May 17th at the Rosales Law Firm at 1400 Montana before our grassroots training. Please contact joe@moodyforelpaso.com for more information or if you are interested in volunteering."

These guys are not resting. You might recall The Inner Loop: Dee-B-Q, as Moody and Margo Roll On from Wednesday, with an invitation to a Dee Margo fund-raiser.
